Fat Grafting, also called MicroLipo Injection, is used for rejuvenation of smaller body areas, such as Face, Hands and Labia Mejora. First fat cells are harvested from another area of the body, typically abdomen, flanks or thighs. This can be done in conjunction with a regular liposuction procedure or as a minor harvesting procedure just to get enough fat for the purpose. The fat is then processed under sterile conditions with centrifugation to isolate the stemcell-rich fat most suitable for injection. PRP can also be added to the processed fat to improve the results. The patient's own purified fat is then injected beneath the skin to fill out areas.
Fat Grafting is used in the face to smooth out wrinkles like laugh lines and to restore volume at the cheek bone areas, which also lifts up the lower face and jowls.
One of the first body parts to show signs of aging are the hands. With age, hands begin to lose tissue between the tendons and start to wrinkle. This gives a boney look with exposed tendons and veins. In this simple procedure, fat is injected between the tendons, leaving the hands plumb and youthful looking with no veins showing.
This is an increasingly popular procedure. Many women are born with very little fat in the labia majora, while other have lost it due to ageing. This gives an aged look, often with the Labia Minora (inner lips) hanging out. By restoring the volume the inner lips will be covered and the area will have a youthful and sensual look.
